Yes she is gorgeous, but lonely. I have no idea why the zoo doesn't give her a companion.

I don't know anything about zoo management ... maybe it isn't easy to find a suitable same-specie companion, considering that it is one of the most endangered mammals ... poor dear, it is sad, with only solitary confinement to look forward to ...

I understand that Lucy was discovered near death, as a abandoned kitten at her den in Big Cypress National Preserve, and brought to Lowry Park Zoo in 2007. Ideally, she should be with her mother and two siblings (discovered later to be still alive at the preserve); but if she was abandoned by her mother, then I guess that is just not possible. sigh ... I pray that they will find a companion for her soon ...

You did a good job in taking this capture however I would have used the portrait format. But what I really like is that Lucy is slightly showing her teeth, that expression is just great.
